The main strand of his research focusses on studying the health and economic circumstances of individuals as they age with particular emphasis on late-life experiences, as well as the broader economic consequences of population ageing. A related strand of his research focuses on the interaction between the housing market and the economic outcomes. He examines how housing shapes opportunities and outcomes throughout the life cycle.
