BIO
My research projects involve building solutions for practitioners in collaboration with industry and government. I focus on two key areas: applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and modern slavery risk management (MSRM). My AI-related projects involve designing solutions for predictive analytics as well as applications of large language models across different industry sectors. My research on MSRM has involved a close collaboration with the NSW Office of the Anti-Slavery Commissioner and the development of an inherent risk identification tool for procurement teams in the public sector (Due diligence and reporting | Communities and Justice). Some of my research lies at the intersection of AI and MSRM. I serve as a senior associate editor for International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management (ABDC ranking: A).
I teach two core units of study in the Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, one focussing on systems (ITLS6010) and the other on sustainability (ITLS6202). I also run a micro-credential on AI for supply chain professionals (Data Science and AI for Supply Chain Management - The University of Sydney Business School). The micro-credential was developed with funding from the NSW government and is delivered in collaboration with GS1 Australia.
