Nature-based solutions for re-building resilience in Urban Green-Blue Spaces: a Botany Wetlands Case Study, Sydney.

We are creating an inter-disciplinary environmental history and mangement regime for an inner urban green and blue space in Sydney. We draw together palaeoecology, spatial, regulatory and theoretical analysis to support landscapes that are ecological resilient. This research is supported by a Sydney Environment Institute Collaborative Grant.

Protected Area Management: World Heritage and Ramsar Wetland Conservation.

Ongoing projects in Australia and the region unpacking issues associated with 'wilderness', ideals about stewardship, cultural landscapes, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of Ramsar wetlands and World Heritage properties.

Environmental Litigation in Policy Reform.

This research explores how environmental groups use litigation to prompt environmental law and policy reform.

Wonders of the Mekong, Cambodia.

A collaborative USAid funded project investigating environmental and socio-environmental issues on the Tonle Sap, Cambodia.

Bridging social and natural sciences to enable community adaptation in protected areas, Tonle Sap, Cambodia.

This research investigates socio-ecological perspectives relating to environmental change and regulation of the Tonle Sap, Cambodia. Funding: Sydney Southeast Asia Centre.

Rights of Nature and Multispecies Justice

Ongoing projects exploring environmental rights, the right of nature and more-than-human and multispecies justice encounters in environmental management.
