I have successfully supervised over 16 International PhD and 27 Master's students at the Universidad de Granada, Spain and the Centre for Genomics and Oncology in Spain with successful completions. His mentees are enrolled as postdoctoral researchers in top ranked Universities including University of Edinburg, University of Cambridge, Univerisity College London, Karolisnka Institutet or Harvard University.
PhD projects opportunities
1. Identification of novel Meniere disesae genes by integrated analysis human genome (Inheritance in MD Australia).
2. Structural varianta and mobile elements in the genetic architecture of Meniere disease and tinnitus disorder. Molecular link between tinnitus, loudness hypersensitivity and dementia.
3. Audiovestibular phenotyping of Meniere disease mouse models (OTOG, MYO7A).
4. Single cell multiome analysis of immune response in MD.
5. Development of the MDAtlas of genes and cells
6. Genetic and epigeneitc biomarkers of severe tinnitus.
Potential projects
A. Evaluation of the immune environment in Meniere disease.
B. Decoding the functional role of de novo and rare germline variation in MD by trio analysis of genome and epigenome datasets.
