DrJohn Salazar

John Sebastián Salazar Flórez is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Project Management at the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Sydney, a master's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. His research examines how interorganisational networks, governance arrangements, and institutional conditions shape the delivery and outcomes of infrastructure projects.

John’s research investigates the governance of infrastructure markets, with a particular focus on collaboration, power, illicit practices, and institutional development within networks of public agencies, private firms, and other stakeholders. He uses network analysis to examine organisational and policy problems. His research has been published in journals including Public Management Review, Construction Management and Economics, the Journal of Management in Engineering, and the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management.
