Research projects & supervision summary
My current research focuses on how coral reefs and carbonate platforms respond to climate, sea-level and environmental change. Major projects include research arising from IODP Expeditions 325 and 389 on the Great Barrier Reef and Hawaiian drowned reefs, together with recent Marine National Facility voyages aboard RV Investigator, including the HALO and the Southern Great Barrier Reef voyages. This research integrates scientific drilling, geochronology, geochemistry, sedimentology, palaeoecology and numerical modelling, and supports the supervision of PhD, Honours and postdoctoral researchers working across modern and fossil reef systems.
Several funded honors and PhD student projects are now available. Please contact Jody directly if you are interested.
