BIO
Jessica is an early-career researcher focused on developing, designing, and implementing patient-reported measures in routine care settings. She draws on eight years of consumer advocacy experience in paediatric hospital settings to build meaningful partnerships among consumers, health services, and researchers. She serves as an Associate Editor at Quality of Life Research, President of the Student Chapter of The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Chair of the Cultural and Lingusitic Diversity sub-group at the Sydney Clinical Trials Centre .
Jessica has established a strong and rapidly growing research profile in patient-reported outcomes, patient-centred care, and health service implementation. Since publishing her first peer-reviewed paper in 2024, she has authored 10 journal articles (including all 4 first-author publications in Q1 journals), 1 book, and contributed to youth policy. Her work has already attracted citations and has been featured in plenary talks internationally, demonstrating early influence and engagement within the field. Her publication record reflects both independent research leadership and substantial contributions to multidisciplinary collaborative teams. Alongside her research achievements, Jessica secured competitive research and travel funding (~$150,000).
Jessica's research spans qualitative, mixed-methods, and implementation science methodologies. She has led an international Delphi study and conducted large-scale qualitative research involving approximately 70 interviews as part of major nationally funded research programs. She is particularly recognised for her leadership in consumer engagement, working closely with patients, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to ensure research is meaningful, relevant, and impactful.
Jessica has presented her work more than 30 times at inter/national conferences, including invited presentations, and has received several awards recognising the quality and impact of her research.
