RESEARCH INTERESTs

A/Prof Boisvert studies information and clinical services related to hearing loss and deafness. This includes:

  • measures used to evaluate hearing and listening in the context of oral communication, and how these are used to recommend different hearing technologies,
  • inconsistencies between reported lived experiences of hearing loss and deafness, literature on auditory rehabilitation, and clinical services available,
  • how digital innovation is impacting traditional audiology services, and
  • integrating perspectives and systems to support the development of hearing-related services

 

Her research builds on broad concepts, including: health services research; reliability of information, technology, & services; interdisciplinarity & pathways between clinical services, listening effort & holistic communication; behavioural training; implementation science, evidence-based practice; and health regulation.
