EDIT (Eating Disorders In weight-related Therapy) Collaboration

The EDIT Collaboration is a world-first international collaboration of researchers, clinicians, consumers and clinical trialists examining individual eating disorder risk during obesity treatment. As part of EDIT, we have combined available data from RCTs to examine individual variability in eating disorder risk during behavioural interventions for obesity. We have developed a detailed coding framework (>100 codes) to characterise intervention components. We are using novel methods including individual participant data meta-analysis and intervention deconstruction to predict eating disorder risk factors during obesity treatment. Predictive modelling with be used to identify risk or protective pathways for eating disorders during obesity treatment, informing tailored models of care.
