BIO

I am a physiotherapist and mid-career teaching and research academic in the Sydney School of Public Health and the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health at the University of Sydney. I have a lifelong interest in physical activity participation, and my research focuses on understanding older adults’ engagement with physical activity, including the effectiveness of interventions. I am an experienced qualitative and mixed methods researcher, and my recent work includes evaluating a dance program for older adults and leading a pilot trial of the same program. I am also a Chief Investigator on the MRFF funded Active Women over 50 effectiveness-implementation RCT.

Within the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, I am an academic program advisor for our >400 students, and a unit coordinator for PUBH5036 Public Health: Critical Challenges, a core unit in the MPH.
