Throughout my academic career, I have used comparative approach and been publishing research on spontaneous canine, feline and production animal models of inherited diseases. My Lab group research focuses on inherited developmental abnormalities and on breed phenotypes of inherited diseases in neonatal companion and livestock animals, using comparative gene array studies and functional genomics. Previous research included animal models for human Mendelian metabolic diseases. I have graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, completed a residency program in Small Animal Medical Genetics (UPenn) and graduated with PhD (Genomics; USyd). I offer extensive clinical and research experience on comparative animal development, anatomy and physiology, genetics/genomics, paediatrics, and reproduction, delivered to animal science/veterinary students and vets worldwide.
