BIO
I moved to Australia from Canada in 2019 where I joined the department of neuroscience at Monash University. I came to the University of Sydney in 2025. I am interested in all things circadian rhythms and sleep related. From neural mechanisms to activity, clock genes and brain circuits, I believe that the mammalian circadian system has a tremendous impact on nearly all aspects of life. I have looked at basic circadian mechanisms, that can set, or reset the primary circadian clock, examined the changes to the circadian system following traumatic brain injury and epilepsy and explored different ways of fixing our rhythms. Currently, I am interested in exploring novel inputs into the circadian system, and the role of clock genes in reward seeking behaviour. I am passionate about teaching, with experience in MEDS and AMED courses. I look forward to conducting my research at the University and interacting with students.
