  • Primary school (middle childhood) prevention of mental health and substance use
  • E-cigarette and tobacco use in young people and vulnerable populations
  • Mental health and substance use epidemiology, prevention and treatment
  • Smoking and lifestyle risk behaviours among people with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Improving early detection and measurement of mental disorders
  • Early intervention for mental health and substance use disorders among young people
  • Clinical practice change interventions for improving routine screening for smoking and other drug use in mental health and substance use settings

 

Methodological expertise

  • Systematic reviews and meta-analysis
  • Design, coordination and evaluation of randomised controlled trials for smoking cessation, including in health services
  • Drug surveillance via use of existing data sources
  • Emerging skills in web scraping
