BIO
I currently live and work on Wiradjuri country (Central West NSW). My field of expertise is rural and remote health service research and evaluation with a focus on matters of access and ethics. I work closely with clinicians and community members of all backgrounds in the pursuit of excellent rural and remote health and wellbeing and quality care from the right person, at the right time, and as close to home as possible. I am a pragmatic generalist when it comes to methodology. I do promote the value of multiple methods given the context and value of such evidence within rural health research and evaluation. I am stronger in the qualitative methodologies and methods, so I collaborate with others who are quantitatively skilled. My engagement with various research and grant projects is as an expert in rural and remote context, research ethics, exploring access, or implementation evaluation. With my generalist positioning and passion, I am well situated to collaborate with and contribute to numerous health research or evaluation projects. I have also spent over a decade engaged in leading various research capacity building activities for students, staff, clinicians, community members, and other research partners. This is necessary to progress the skill development and research and evaluation capability in rural and remote regions.
