Dr Ellie Medcalf is a Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney. Her PhD, awarded Jan 2026, investigated epidemiological and statistical approaches for handling missing outcome data and treatment nonadherence in randomised controlled trials, with a specific focus on how these approaches could be used to optimise the analysis of the Melanoma Self Surveillance Trial (MEL-SELF), a NHMRC-funded pragmatic trial assessing the use of patient-led surveillance in people with early-stage melanoma.
