BIO
BA(Hons); PhD UNSW
As a researcher and educator, my work explores how individuals find meaning and navigate their careers. Using qualitative methods, I’ve partnered with organisations across government, corporate, and NGO sectors to study diverse career experiences. My research examines work and employment through the lenses of management, organisational theory, aesthetics, discrimination, and identity. In 2021, I was recognised among the top 250 Australian researchers and named a field leader in Sociology and Social Sciences.
My approach to teaching and knowledge dissemination is also translated through my vast experience teaching in a multitude of contexts. These include undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and MBA groups in Sydney as well as visiting international executive groups and master’s degree cohorts in Vietnam sharing global business perspectives and leadership insights on the topics of management, people and organisations, the future of work, and diversity equity and inclusion within employment.
Over my academic career I have written/edited two books, written twelve chapters for books, published over fifty articles in international peer reviewed journals, presented at over fifty national and international conferences, and produced eight industry reports. I have also received 12 Student Nomination for Excellence in Teaching and 5 Dean’s Citation for Teaching Award in the Business School at the University of Sydney (2015-2025).
