ProfessorDEBORAH Barnstone

As an historian, Barnstone's primary interests are in 20th century early modern art, architecture, and culture.  She has a particular passion for dismantling historical myths by re-examining received histories in order to uncover alternate interpretations of the past.  

As a registered architect and practitioner, Barnstone has a long-standing interest in sutainability in architectural design.  She is interested in ways to recycle unusual waste in building design and construction, creative applications of new sustainable building materials, and adaptive reuse.
