RESEARCH INTERESTs

My research sits at the intersection of social justice, gender equity, education, and public health, with a focus on addressing systemic and historical marginalisation through evidence‑based, community‑centred approaches. I specialise in gender studies, including the prevention of sexual and gender‑based violence, and the evaluation of public policies and institutional practices across education, media, and government sectors. I also work in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, particularly in Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and community‑led breastfeeding support programs. Grounded in intersectionality and collaborative methodologies, my work draws on qualitative and mixed-methods research and Indigenous research to inform policy, strengthen institutional practice, and drive cultural and structural change. I am open to supervising students whose interests align with gender equity, education, social justice, or Indigenous health.
