I lead a group at the University of Sydney where we explore the mechanisms of cognition and behaviour in the healthy brain, and how they are affected in neuropsychiatric conditions. We use techniques from psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, neuropsychology and cognitive modelling, applying these in both human and animal models. The overall goal is to try and understand how the brain’s neurobiology shapes adaptive behaviour.
