Dr Partyka is a Senior Staff Specialist in both Emergency Medicine (Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney) and Prehospital & Retrieval Medicine (Aeromedical Operations, NSW Ambulance). He is undertaking his PhD through the University of Sydney by evaluating serratus anterior plane blocks in the management of rib fractures.
