RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr Di Lernia is an early career researcher who is building an active research profile around corporate accountability. Cary's overarching concern surrounds the role and impact of organisations in society and their proper and effective regulation. This concern has driven Cary's research into several different veins of inquiry, including: corporate accountability and transparency; shareholder claims against insolvent companies; business relationships in the franchise context; business strategies for Indigenous peoples; grassroots entrepreneurial business model innovation; the continuous disclosure regime and enforcement strategies surrounding it. Cary's most recent work focuses on corporate disclosure of climate and carbon risks and the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures.
