BIO

Dr Donnelly is a Research Fellow in the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Stream of the Daffodil Centre at the University and is a member of Charles Perkins Centre. She brings over a decade of experience in digital health, health service improvement and implementation science with a PhD focused on utilising routinely collected data to improve multidisciplinary cancer care.

Her current work contributes to national efforts to inform targeted screening pathways, including the National Roadmap for Targeted Melanoma Screening. Her research on this program focuses on the data and evaluation components of cancer screening, including the development of quality indicators, data frameworks, and evaluation approaches to support risk-stratified screening programs. Dr Donnelly is also a Chief Investigator on an MRFF-funded project in partnership with NSW Local Health Districts, focused on strengthening the use of data to improve cancer service delivery.

In her previous roles at the University, she has led research on the implementation of clinical analytics dashboards for the Digital Health CRC, managed the Sydney West Translational Cancer Research Centre’s flagship program in cancer data, and delivered major consultancies for state and federal government agencies.

Bringing together methodological rigour and applied health services implementation, Dr Donnelly's work aims to bridge the gap between data, clinical practice, and policy to improve cancer outcomes.
