RESEARCH INTERESTs

My team's research aims to understand the genetic basis of complex evolutionary innovations. We're especially interested in understanding the evolution of pregnancy and the placenta. We use comparative genomics, physiology, and morphological techniques in our research with a range of non-traditional model species, including reptiles, sharks, bony fish and marsupials.

My research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Strengths - Understanding Life on Earth, Healthy Animals, Biodiversity Conservation.

Please see my website for further information.
