Research projects & supervision summary

  • The Citizens of Citizen Science: I am currently researching how people interact with nature through citizen science, and how we can make sure people don't miss out on important aspects of nature connection, simply because of where they live.
  • Insect behaviour: I am interested in learning how insects choose to forage. I've researched ant and bee foraging behaviour, including training bees to visit flowers for pollination purposes
  • Insect collections, and entomological educational research: I am interested in how students collect insects for entomological education, from ecological, educational and ethical perspectives. I am also currently researching how Two-Stage exams can assist in learning
