RESEARCH INTERESTs
Professor Fahimnia's research focuses on developing intelligent, resilient, and sustainable supply chains through the integration of advanced analytics, AI, and behavioural science. His primary research areas include:
1. Supply Chain Intelligence & Digital Transformation
Developing and implementing AI-powered models and decision-support systems to enhance supply chain visibility, collaboration, optimisation, and real-time decision making in complex and interconnected supply networks.
2. Behavioural Decision Science
Understanding how individuals and organisations make decisions, and designing human-centred AI solutions that combine analytical intelligence with human judgement to improve organisational decision making.
3. Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Intelligence
Developing predictive and prescriptive approaches for identifying vulnerabilities, anticipating disruptions, and strengthening resilience through improved visibility, coordination, and adaptive decision-making.
4. Sustainable Supply Chains & Responsible Operations
Designing frameworks, performance measurement systems, and decision-support tools that enable organisations to improve environmental, social, and economic sustainability while balancing resilience, competitiveness, and long-term value creation.
5. Human Capability Assessment & Career Intelligence
Developing innovative capability assessment frameworks that help individuals identify their strengths, align their capabilities with career pathways, and make informed education, career, and life decisions.
