Arianna Brambilla is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, specialised in the intersection of building performance, sustainable design, and architectural innovation. As an architectural scientist, she investigates how the built environment impacts people and their health, advancing evidence‑based strategies to improve indoor environmental quality and enhance human wellbeing. She is driven by a commitment to the universal right to live in a healthy environment, and her research provides the scientific foundations that support policymakers in integrating practical, health‑centred design strategies into built‑environment legislation and planning frameworks.
Arianna’s work bridges environmental data, material systems, and adaptive design approaches, contributing to contemporary debates around resilience, climate adaptation, and low‑carbon construction. She holds a PhD with honours from Politecnico di Milano, where her research established a multidisciplinary foundation that continues to inform both her academic and industry collaborations.
