RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr Rogerson's research focuses on Virgil’s epic poem, the Aeneid, its characters, its reflection of Roman culture, and its narrative dynamics. She also works on the commentary tradition on Virgil, from late antiquity to the present, and on later creative responses to the Aeneid in art and literature, from Vandal north Africa, to Renaissance Italy, the Golden Age of detective fiction and beyond.
