RESEARCH INTERESTs
I have been interested in pretty much any area of theoretical quantum phyiscs including quantum information theory; quantum measurement and control; and quantum many-body physics. Right now the group is mainly interested in quantum computing. Specifically in how to produce qubits that are resistant to noise, how to characterize noise in prototype quantum computers, and how to efficiently correct errors in quantum devices using quantum error correction. This research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Strengths - Fundamental Laws of Nature, Quantum Frontiers.
