RESEARCH INTERESTs

Andrea’s research agenda spans several aspects of sustainable mobility and accessibility. In particular, his work focuses on: (a) evaluating the impact of government policy reforms on decisions to purchase electric vehicles; (b) assessing consumer preferences for the adoption of home electric vehicle charging technologies; (c) identifying strategies to ensure buildings are equipped to support electric mobility; and (d) eliciting community preferences for transport electrification investments under constrained public budgets.

In collaboration with Professor John Rose (the Neil Smith Research Chair in Sustainable Transport Futures), Andrea has developed a modelling toolkit designed to predict how the NSW automobile sector may evolve over the next two decades under alternative policy scenarios.
