BIO

Dr Anastasia Nicéphore is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) UK, and interdisciplinary scholar teaching in the English and Writing Departments, and among other research projects she has taught on Postcolonial studies, decolonisation, Global Protests, and Interdisciplinary Impacts. Dr Nicéphore received her PhD in English (Arts and Social Sciences) from University of Sydney, and MA in Educational Leadership and Management from University of London, Institute of Education, UCL, and BA (Honours) from the University of London, Goldsmiths College. She is a recipient of the University Postgraduate Awards (Sydney University, 2013-16) and the Nicholas Aroney Prize (2016). She is the book editor and contributing author of Diasporic Identities and Empire: Cultural Contentions and Literary Landscapes (Cambridge Scholars, 2013), and author of Platωn's Reality, Baudrillard's Nostalgia (Peter Lang, 2020). She has contributed to the South Atlantic Modern Languages Association US (SAMLA), and the International Plato Society (IPS). A commitment to critical literacy, inclusive pedagogy, and research-led education informs her teaching.
