BIO
Alix is a Lecturer in Academic Devleopment and Leadership within the Division of Teaching and Learning in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students). She is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and co-director of the Sydney Educational Fellowship Program. She has received national and international awards for educational innovation, and two Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence; one for her work establishing and teaching the Bachelor of Arts core unit FASS1000, and one for her leadership of the Modular Professional Learning Framework.
Alix's current work involves teaching into the Graduate Certificate of Educational Studies (Higher Education), serving as managing editor for the blog Teaching@Sydney, and leading the institution-wide assurance of learning stream of Sydney's teaching and learning response to AI. She is also part of a research group exploring how students report their use of generative AI tools in 'open' assessments.
