BIO

Ali is a computer scientist and software engineer who views the world through the lens of optimisation and impact. With a PhD in Computer Science and extensive experience in higher education, he has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between complex theoretical algorithms and real-world engineering challenges. His research journey has taken him from processing massive datasets and learning patterns to applying machine learning in the renewable energy sector, where he worked on enhancing the reliability of utility-scale solar systems. At his core, Ali describes himself as an “algorithm guy,” but he has recently updated his favourite codebase: his pedagogy. In his view, teaching methodologies and instructional techniques are the most vital algorithms we have, designed to help students reach their full potential.
