SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy

  • Floor Safety Officer,July 2024 ongoing: Level 3 floor safety officer.  Duties include performing general building inductions to new researchers, ensuring safe lab practices are followed, conducting monthly lab inspections and reporting to the safety committee, overseeing hazard assessment forms for higher risk activities and maintaing a safe working environment for all researchers.
  • First Aid Officer, July 2025 ongoing: Level 3 first aid officer. To provide first aid to all researchers or staff in need as required. To maintain the first aid kit to ensure items are restocked and kept up to date.
  • Fire Warden, July 2025 ongoing: Level 3 fire warden. To ensure occupants of the building are evacuated and the location is all clear during a fire alarm.  To guide occupants to safety and to ensure there is no fire hazard.
  • Guest Editor, IJMS August 2025: Guest editor for International Journal of Molecular Sciences for the special edition "Current Research on
    Colloidal Emulsions: Preparation and Applications". Duties include identifying and inviting potential authors to submit in the special issues through email and promoting the issue on social media. To liases with the editor during the submissions and determine suitability of submissions for publication.
  • Journal Reviewer, ongoing: To review articles in the relevant field for a range of journals as requested.
