MrAlexander Papachristos

Dr Alex Papachristos is an Endocrine surgeon with the Northern Sydney Local Heatlh District. Alex contributes to the Endocrine Oncology multidisciplinary team at Royal North Shore Hospital and is involved with clinical trials for patients with locally advanced and metastatic thyroid and adrenal cancer, and recently completed his PhD exploring a novel targeted treatment in advanced medullary thyroid cancer. Alex is also passionate about teaching, and completed a Master of Surgical Education by thesis, exploring trainees' experience with learning in the operating theatre. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Sydney, and manages the surgical curriculum for the fourth-year medical students at the Northern Clinical School.
